Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets Computer Games

EA are developing the games again, and this time there will be one version available on four platforms, PC, GameCube, Playstation 2 and XBox, along with PSOne, GameBoy Color and GameBoy Advance versions.

Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets is based on the new film coming out in November, which in turn is based on the second book of the series. When Harry returns to Hogwarts after the summer, his classmates start turning up in a petrified state and as you play as Harry, it is your responsibility to get to the bottom of the attacks and find the Chamber of Secrets.

PC, GameCube, Playstation 2 and XBox

As with the PC version of HP and the Philosopher's (Sorcerer's) Stone, the grapics are amazing and the whole of Hogwarts has been wonderfully recreated. There are new characters to meet, Ginny Weasley and Moaning Myrtle, and once again there are mini-games to play, based on minor events in the book. You can try your hand at the Duelling Club or help to "de-gnome" a garden.

The screenshots show good progress already. Let's just hope it's up to the standard of the GameBoy Color version of HP and the Philosopher's Stone and nowhere near as bad as the PSOne version.

PSOne, GBA and GBC

So far as I've been able to find out, these games will be along the same lines as their Philosopher's Stone predecessors, but following the story of the Chamber of Secrets.

More news when I have it!
